Ryan Stiver, of the 300 block of Gap Road in Ronks, has been identified as the man who died in a single-vehicle crash in the 400 block of Strasburg Road/Route 741 in Paradise Township at 9:25 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, as detailed by PSP Lancaster Trooper Paul Price and identified by Lancaster County Chief Deputy Coroner Eric Bieber the following day.

Stiver was heading west in a black 2005 Acura TL when he lost control for an unknown reason, becoming airborne at 8:32 a.m., Price explained.

The Acura slammed into a utility pole, knocking it down, and the vehicle continued to roll numerous times — landing 60 feet away from the pole, Price wrote. Stiver was dead when troopers arrived from what appeared to be numerous injuries.

Stiver's body was taken to the Lancaster County Coroner's Officer and Forensic Center for further investigation, to determine the cause and manner of death.

This fatal crash is under investigation by state police.
